Hopedale Medical Complex offers virtually the same services as many larger, city hospitals, including:
a 24-hour emergency room, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), general and vascular surgery departments, orthopedic surgery, physical therapy and rehabilitation services, sports medicine, mammography, open magnetic imaging resonance (MRI), computed tomography scanning (CT), and many of the new innovative technologies needed for modern medicine.

Job Description The Registered Nurse in our hospital provides planned and highly skilled nursing care for the patient.
The RN will assist the physicians and other team members as directed by the supervisor.
Furthermore, this position will be primarily based in the Hospital, however, you will be expected to cross train and float to the nursing home and the Common's Assisted Living facility when the need arises.
Responsibilities:
5 bed Emergency room, Hopedale is not a trauma hospital.
Teamwork heavily focused to promote better patient experience & high quality of care Deliver nursing care as needed.
Assess and document patient status.
Carry out treatments and/or orders.
Assist in positioning and/or transporting the patient.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of equipment, instruments, supplies, and procedures utilized in that specific nursing position.
Record treatment, comments and notes as necessary on the appropriate patient chart, alerting other personnel to all orders, problems, and other pertinent information.
Is flexible, adaptive and able to accept and implement new ideas and approaches.
Administer medication, IV therapy and drips as ordered.
Discharge patients to home or other appropriate place accordingly and per physician's order.
Participate in regular in-service training and other quality assurance activities, as well as continuing education seminars and workshops.
Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program Valid Illinois nursing license is required Current CPR/AED card (or willing to obtain upon hire) is required ER and/or ICU experience is preferred but not required Physical Demands Must be able to speak and understand English language.
Must be able to lift and turn patients of all ages and sizes.
Must be able to lift OR patient from gurney to bed.
Must be able to deal with families of critically ill patients.
Must be able to communicate well with physicians.
Must be able to work side by side with physicians at critical times such as code blue.
